About This Special Issue
Cancer treatment is hard and expensive. Because of the high prices of new drugs, it is getting more expensive day by day. Some patients benefit more from new drugs and it is known that some non-cancer drugs can increase the effectiveness of cancer drugs. Some drugs may be effective out of their original indication, this phenomenon is called “repurposing”. Also, non-cancer drugs can be repurposed for cancer treatment. There are many benefits to using old drugs to treat cancer. Its cost is low and its side-effect profile is well known.
The the special issue aims to repurpose non-cancer drugs for cancer treatment. All authors are invited to study this subject and submit manuscripts to Pharmaceutical Science and Technology journal.
